Questions

What is the Silver Case hunt?

A real-world Los Angeles mystery hunt connected to The Man With the Silver Case, offering a chance to win a $25,000 cash reward, subject to the Official Rules.

How do I enter?

Watch the film, find the first clue and submit your answer when registering at LookAgain.la. A correct answer and completed registration complete Clue 1.

Where can I watch?

Use the Kapang and Prime Video links on LookAgain.la. The film is free on Kapang. No purchase is necessary to participate.

What happens after registration?

Your confirmation screen shows “Clue 1 complete” and your participant ID. Save that ID and keep it private. Watch the Feed for the next clue and official updates.

Does early signup give me priority?

No. Early-access signup provides updates, but you still need to complete registration and Clue 1. It does not give priority at checkpoints.

When does registration close?

October 27 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.

When do the physical stages begin?

Clue 2 opens October 28 at 9 AM Pacific Time. Staffed windows run 9 AM to 5 PM October 28 to 30. Stages may close earlier when their advancement limits are reached or the hunt is completed.

Will clues release before then?

Clue 1 is available now. Later clues release during the physical hunt as participants complete the preceding checkpoints. Qualified finalists receive the final clue together.

Who can participate?

Eligible U.S. residents who are at least 18 and the age of majority in their state, subject to the Official Rules. Later stages require in-person participation in the LA area at the participant’s expense.

How many people advance?

The first 300 valid Clue 2 completions advance, then the first 150 valid Clue 3 completions. The first 50 valid Clue 4 completions become finalists. Staff verify and timestamp completions.

Does calling the hotline complete a stage?

No. The call delivers a recorded clue. Staff must also verify your participant ID and completion of the preceding stage.

Can we solve clues together?

Discussion and collaboration on released clues are allowed under the Official Rules. Do not share personal IDs or credentials, or complete stages for someone else.

Does finding the case mean I win?

Finding, touching or opening the case does not complete a claim. Confirmed finalists follow the check-in instructions at the finale location, complete the required verification and answer the final film question to staff. The first valid completed claim determines the provisional winner, subject to final verification.

Are the street activations part of qualification?

Receiving a card, seeing a projection or taking part in Braden’s separate giveaway does not complete a stage in the $25,000 hunt.
